Dragon Month (heretofore referred to as Here May Be Dragons, since it’s just a more awesome name) chugs along with returning guest Betsy Stone and 1996’s CGI-Sean-Connery vehicle Dragonheart! When an asshole king (David Thewlis) terrorizes the land, it’s up to a roguish dragonslayer (Dennis Quaid) and his snarky dragon pal (Connery) to save the day. Sub-PlayStation One CGI and semi-modernized Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves antics abound, which we break down for you along with our custom cocktail and drinking game!

THIS EPISODE’S DRINK: The Old Code
We paid homage to Sean Connery with a suitably scotch-based drink, with a spicy, herby green syrup to fit Draco’s hue and the earthiness of the medieval setting.
2 parts Scotch (pick a nice peaty one)
1 parts green pepper-lime-thyme syrup
dash, grand poppy tincture
splash, soda water
To make the syrup, roast 1 green pepper till the skins fall off; puree that with a bit of water. Add that to a saucepan with the juice of 3 limes, a large dollop of honey and a small bunch of thyme leaves, and simmer for 5-7 minutes. Add that to a rocks glass with Scotch, tincture and soda water with ice, and stir. Serve.
DRINKING RULES FOR DRAGONHEART:
- Every time someone gets stabbed with a pointy thing
- Any time Sean Connery offers a dragon quip
- Whenever you see silhouetted characters
FINISH YOUR DRINK WHEN:
Draco shouts, “As my friend, strike…please!”
